In the past, Harrelson has called out the government and pharmaceutical companies for profiting from the COVID pandemic, and many on social media believed his SNL monologue was one of those examples. Twitter CEO Elon Musk called Harrelson’s monologue “good” as the debate got underway.

In another tweet, Musk congratulated the NBC show, tweeting “So grounded. Good job @nbcsnl!”

As the media reported on Harrelson’s monologue, social media users who are conspiracy theorists began responding with one user saying, “Maybe he doesn’t realize that his propaganda is false?”

 

Another user made headlines by saying that Harrelson was spreading an anti-vaxxer conspiracy, to which Musk responded with a targeted emoji. Although Musk liked Harrelson’s monologue, other users expressed opposing views.

“This is an incredibly selfish and privileged position, an anti-vax, anti-lockdown, anti-Covid conspiracy. Woody Harrelson, and those endorsing such bs are only able to do this because they themselves are fine,” shared one Twitter user. “No One Who Suffers or Takes”

Author and TV writer Lee Goldberg, whose credits include The Glades and Psych, shared his opinion on Twitter.

“Thanks, @nbcsnl, for Woody Harrelson’s nerdy anti-vax monologue. Who will be the guest host next week, Scott Baio? Rob Schneider? Kevin Sorbo? Maybe invite Kanye back while you’re at it,” he wrote.

Comedian and TV writer Ashley Ray also tweeted her view, saying, “Rant sounds like he did it randomly without permission when it sure sounds like something that was written and queried.” was on the cards.”

iHeartRadio host Jerry Houston tweeted, “Woody Harrelson ~really~ admitted to being a drugged out redneck. He physically said so before hurling his anti-vaxx message … and yet those people Now frothing at the mouth like he’s an expert? Wow okay.”
