Days after courting controversy and trolling Twitter, Twitter will next week launch its Verified service, in which the social media company will launch different colored checks for different companies or even governments, which will replace old ones. The iconic blue tick is the opposite of the test.
Twitter will roll out verified gold and gray check marks next Friday with the relaunch of the iconic blue check service, whose rollout was delayed earlier this week.
According to a tweet by chief executive Elon Musk, he said that Gold checks for companies, Grade checks for government Blue for individual celebrities, the move is painful but necessary before checks can be activated for all verified accounts. Will be authenticated manually.
Elon Musk stated that individuals may have a secondary smaller logo to show that they belong to an organization if verified by that organization. The Twitter chief said in another tweet that the recently announced $8 Blue Check subscription service has been discontinued.
The massive blue check mark was previously reserved for verified accounts of politicians, public figures and journalists.
