This mission, part of Starlink Group 17-2, marks a significant step in expanding SpaceX’s global internet constellation, now boasting over 8,000 satellites launched.
The reusable Falcon 9 first-stage booster, tail number B1075, completed its 19th flight, having previously supported critical missions like SDA-0A, SARah-2, Transporter-11, and 15 other Starlink launches. Just 8.5 minutes after liftoff, the booster nailed a perfect landing on the droneship Of Course I Still Love You in the Pacific Ocean, marking SpaceX’s 478th booster recovery.
This launch, SpaceX’s 92nd Falcon 9 mission of 2025, deployed the satellites into a polar orbit to boost connectivity in high-latitude regions like Alaska. Americans can expect enhanced internet access as SpaceX continues its ambitious plan to deploy over 400 additional polar-orbit satellites by year’s end.
