Elon Musk takes action to protect free speech, Republican senators’ account reinstated after suspension.
However, the move was quickly quashed by CEO Elon Musk. As previously reported by the DC Inquirer, the account was temporarily unavailable because it violates the Twitter Media Policy.
More specifically, the image violates Twitter’s “Graphic violence or adult content in profile images” policy. You may not post media that is graphic or contains violent or adult nudity and sexual behavior in Live Videos or share profile headers, listing banner images, or community cover photos.
Twitter wrote justifying the suspension. “Media depicting extreme gory content, sexual violence and/or assault, bestiality or necrophilia is also not allowed.” However, the move was quickly reversed by Twitter CEO Elon Musk, who directly addressed the incident on Twitter, writing: “This is being fixed.
The policy against showing blood in profile pictures is being amended to ‘Explicitly showing blood without clicking on the profile picture’. The intention is to save people from being forced to see horrible profile pics.
This is being fixed. Policy against showing blood in profile pic is being amended to “clearly showing blood without clicking on the profile pic”.
The intent is to avoid people being forced to see gruesome profile pics.

Elon Musk said later that day that Twitter would be dedicated to accepting different values, further adding that Twitter would accept widely different values instead of trying to impose its specific values on the world.
”This is great.”
